Apply for COP31 participation

The University of Copenhagen hereby announces the opportunity for participant registration to the 31th Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC (COP 31) from 9-20 November 2026.

All UCPH employees are encouraged to apply for accreditation. Please note that applicants are responsible for covering their own travel and accommodation expenses.

To express your interest, please submit your application to KU One Planet by filling out the following form no later than 17 August 2026.

Selection process

Please note that if the number of applications exceeds the number of available accreditations, a selection process will take place. Applications will be evaluated to ensure a diverse delegation in terms of demographics and academic disciplines, as well as the applicant’s expected engagement at COP, including activities such as conducting fieldwork, presenting research, hosting side events, and other relevant contributions. In 2025, UCPH was allocated two accreditations and expects to receive the same number this year.

Important information

This application is solely for accreditation to the Blue Zone, the UNFCCC-authorized area of the conference venue. Applicants are responsible for covering their own travel and accommodation expenses.

Mandatory information regarding passport number will be requested via a secured UCPH e-mail when the application process expires and the candidates have been chosen.
